Teen Strength & Conditioning

Our teen program offers 12-17 year-olds a great opportunity to build capacity across a variety of physical skills in a positive atmosphere. We develop our teens ability to move well through daily instruction on proper movement mechanics and safety. Our goal is to build a solid athletic foundation in our teens to ensure they can enjoy a lifetime of fitness.

Push Ups

Calisthenics

Calisthenics, functional body-weight movements, are the core of CrossFit. Performed quickly, these exercises positively impact cardiovascular/respiratory endurance and stamina. During a W.O.D., teens will work with high intensity performing movements such as push-ups, sit-ups, air squats, lunges, jump rope, box jumps, etc.

Gymnastics

Gymnastics training develops balance and coordination. Our teens work on gymnastics in varying capacities during every class. Typical gymnastics movements covered include but are not limited to:

  • Sit-ups/V-Ups/Toes to Bars/Hollow Rocks
  • Pull-Ups
  • Rope Climbs
  • Handstand Push-ups/Walks
  • Dips
  • Muscle Ups

Weightlifting

Lift movements such as shoulder press, squats, and deadlift will be addressed comprehensively throughout our eight week sessions. Teens also gain some exposure to the olympic lifts, the snatch and clean & jerk. 

Strength training is foundational to the development of all motor skills. Our carefully programmed progression of skills will help any teen improve their physical capacity as well as optimize sports performance.
